Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's mother, made her acting debut as Flora McGrath. For this role, she won an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for The romantic drama The Piano at the young age of eleven. She is the second youngest recipient in Oscar the history of Oscars. Paquin moved to New Zealand from Canada as young girl, and then grew up in the country. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of a blind Scottish pianist, who in the mid-19th century moves to New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an open audition call; she was nine years old. She had little prior experience in acting. After moving into the United States, she became an adolescent. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. In addition, she played the lead role as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a film from that same year. Paquin played a minor role in the TV film of 1997 version to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). She also played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
