Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. She grew up having big hopes. Her most memorable roles include the action spy film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and the thriller Precious. Her childhood was lived in Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for films in the young girl and also. Paula participated in co-curricular activities at school and enjoyed drama. Paula loved playing the role of an actor with her classmates and took part in her school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the setting for many school plays. She decided to become an actor. She enjoyed her summer at University of Southern California. The program awarded her a 3-month contract making documentaries for PBS. When she finished the three-month assignment successfully, her first job was working in the production department for television documentaries. After that, she started producing documentaries. Even though she loved what she did however, she always wanted acting roles. She began her journey into acting by playing Will Smith's co-star on romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has been in numerous popular films and television shows.
